Job summary

TRC Companies, Inc. in San Antonio, Texas is seeking a Distribution Design Manager to lead engineering and design teams within CPS Energy CD&D projects. This role will supervise, manage proposals and budgets, and ensure quality and profitability while delivering client-focused solutions.

The position requires senior leadership, strong communication, familiarity with CPS Energy standards, and experience with MicroStation/AutoCAD. Travel and safety training are expected as part of the role.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of leadership or senior design/engineering experience.
• 3+ years as Design Manager/Coordinator or similar with CPS Energy CD&D experience preferred.
• Experience with CPS Energy standards and CD&D design standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise engineering and design efforts for CPS Energy CD&D projects.
• Coordinate proposals, schedules, and budgets for client activities.
• Manage CPS Energy Engineering & Design Teams to meet profitability and quality targets.
• Build and train teams by hiring and developing staff.
• Travel as necessary to support work.
• Ensure quality assurance and control across all work.
