Job summary

Fagron US in Canton, MA seeks a Distribution Coordinator to manage daily warehouse operations, including receiving, put-away, order fulfillment, packing and shipping finished goods to customers, with FIFO and GMP/GDP compliance. Qualifications

  • 1–3 years in a warehouse/distribution role.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate a PIT forklift.
  • GDP/compliance knowledge and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

  • Follow policies to pick customer orders by product code, lot number, and quantity; move to packing.
  • Check accuracy of picked orders and document completion.
  • Pack orders to protect products for shipping.
  • Receive finished goods and store via FIFO.
  • Receive scrap material and discard appropriately.
  • Prepare/ship samples/equipment as requested.
  • Deliver finished product to local hospitals and clinics.
  • Maintain customer relations with on-time deliveries.
  • Receive/unload/put away raw materials and production supplies; coordinate with Quality Systems.
  • Perform ERP transactions for receiving and storage.
  • Inspect documents, maintain logs, and sign for deliveries.
  • Procure material timely from warehouse when requested.
  • Perform second-check of picked material from compounding.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow SOPs.
  • Answer phones/doorbells and schedule/receive deliveries.
  • Operate forklift and report maintenance/repair needs to Materials Manager.

About the Job

The Distribution Coordinator is responsible for performing the day-to-day operations in the incoming and outgoing Warehouse Duties include all functional areas of Distribution Operations and Warehousing at the Fagron Sterile Services Compounding Center, The functions of the position includes, but are not limited to, receiving raw materials, put-away, replenishment, customer inventory cycle count, procurement of raw material to manufacturing, receiving finished goods, order fulfillment, picking, packing and delivering finished goods to customers, sanitation and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Follow established company policies and procedures and applies acquired job skills to accurately pick customer orders according to product code, lot number, and quantity requested and move completed orders to packing lines. Report any discrepancies and/or damages to the Supervisor.
  • Check picked orders for accuracy of lot numbers, quantities and document completion.
  • Accurately pack customer orders according to products requested on order form. Pack completed orders in such a manner as to protect the product from loss or damage.
  • Receive finished goods from manufacturing and perform put away into inventory following first in first out.
  • Receive scrap material from manufacturing, catalog scrap material and discard.
  • Receive samples/equipment from internal parties within the company and prepare/ship samples/equipment to requested consignee.
  • Follow established company policies and procedures and apply acquired job skills to pick up, load and deliver finished product from manufacturing plant to local hospitals and clinics.
  • Ensures good customer relations by consistently delivering orders on time, behaving with integrity in a courteous and professional manner and appropriately receiving customer concerns or complaints.
  • Follow established company policies and procedures and applies acquired job skills to receive, unload and put away raw materials and production supplies from incoming trucks; stores in appropriate areas. Coordinates with Quality Systems, as necessary.
  • Receiving and storing materials in the warehouse and performing transactions in ERP.
  • Inspects documents attached to incoming loads, completes receiving paperwork, signs for incoming deliveries, and maintains shipping/receiving logs and records.
  • Procure material timely from the warehouse when requested.
  • Accurately pick requested material form compounding and perform 2nd check of picked material upon request.
  • Participates in all activities required to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Responsible for answering phones/doorbells and scheduling/receiving deliveries.
  • Operates forklift and other transport equipment as necessary to move material. Performs normal routine maintenance to ensure equipment is kept in good working condition. Report to Materials Manager any maintenance and/or repair problems on equipment operated.
Basic Qualifications
  • A minimum of 1-3 years’ experience in a position of responsibility (i.e., Warehouse worker, Order Fulfillment, etc.) and a good working knowledge of all functional areas of a warehouse/distribution environment.
  • General knowledge of ERP systems (i.e., Microsoft AX) preferred.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong organizational and communication skills (oral and written communication); effectively able to articulate ideas.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull 50 lbs.
  • Effective problem-solving skills and demonstrated use of sound judgment.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team setting – establishes and communicates expectations.
  • Ability to maintain complete confidentiality and discretion in business relationships and exercise sound business judgment.
  • Capable of operating a Powered Industrial Truck (PIT), including, but not limited to, walkie-riders, cherry pickers, deep reaches, and sit-down forklifts. Forklift certification is preferred, or the Company will train on forklift and support the certification process. The incumbent will need to successfully obtain the forklift certification.
  • Well-versed in the execution of Replenishment Transfer Orders and the confirmation thereof. Additionally, the incumbent must have training in all functional areas of outbound distributions, including picking, checking, packing, stock rotation, manifesting of parcel goods, generation of packing slips and BOL’s, and other paperwork and documents as required.
  • Responsible to learn all applicable Standard Operating Procedures and compliancy with all regulations regarding the handling, storage, and shipping of Dangerous Drugs and Adhere to all Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
  • Responsible for understanding and complying with all Company policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for additional projects and duties as assigned by Supervisor.
  • Abides by all safety and operating rules.
