David C Cook Elgin, IL is seeking a VBS Distribution Clerk to ensure orders are picked, packed, processed and shipped accurately and on time within our Elgin distribution operation.

This hands‑on role is ideal for someone who works well in a team, takes pride in accuracy, and adapts to changing priorities while using warehouse systems and equipment to keep customers satisfied.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate degree or logistics coursework is a plus.
• 3+ years in a distribution center with B2B and B2C pick/pack/ship ops.
• Experience leading or coordinating a group to meet daily goals.
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety standards.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt to changing needs.
• Comfort with warehouse tech, computer systems, and related software.
• Ability to operate walkie forklifts, pallet jacks, and similar equipment.
• Basic math skills including units of measure and conversions.
• Strong communication and teamwork; follow verbal and written instructions.
• Able to lift/push/pull up to 45 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Flexibility for overtime, evenings, weekends when required.

As a VBS Distribution Clerk, you'll play an important role in making sure our customers receive their products accurately and on time. From picking and packing to processing and shipping, you'll stay active throughout the day while helping keep our Elgin distribution operation running smoothly.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working as part of a team, takes pride in getting the details right, and likes seeing the results of their work each day. You'll work across different areas of the distribution operation, use warehouse systems and equipment, and step in where needed as priorities change. Your attention to accuracy, efficiency, and quality will help us deliver the reliable service our customers count on.

Qualifications: What You'll Bring

• High school diploma required; an associate degree in Business or coursework in Logistics is a plus.
