Pay Range

Job Summary

We are currently assisting our client, an industrial manufacturer, with a Distribution Supervisor search in the Kalamazoo, MI area.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and motivate a small team of warehouse associates, ensuring efficiency and a positive work environment while engaging in daily tasks.
• Operate tow motors and RF scanners for inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping/receiving, following best warehouse practices.
• Train new and existing staff on safe procedures, equipment use, and efficiency best practices.
• Oversee stock counts, rotation, and accuracy checks to optimize storage and minimize discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, conduct safety audits, and address hazards proactively.

Requirements

• Experience in a warehouse or distribution environment, including at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role, is required.
• Candidates must possess a valid forklift certification and demonstrate proficiency in operating tow motors and RF scanning equipment safely and efficiently.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for effectively leading a team and interacting with other departments and management.
