Job summary

Judge Direct Placement seeks a Distribution Center Manager to oversee end-to-end DC operations for a high-SKU, high-volume facility in Lithonia, GA. You will drive safety, quality, and service while leading a team of 75+ across 100,000 sq ft.

In this role you’ll optimize labor, improve metrics like on-time delivery and inventory accuracy, and partner cross-functionally to reduce costs. A Lean/Six Sigma background and ERP experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; experience may substitute.
• 7+ years in distribution, warehouse, or manufacturing operations.
• 7+ years in direct people leadership across large teams (50+).
• Experience as Manager/lead of DC/warehouse/manufacturing plant.
• Lean/Six Sigma certification (Green or Black Belt).
• ERP experience (SAP or Oracle preferred).
• Experience with inventory control and logistics operations.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Manage operating budget incl. labor, equipment, facility costs.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily DC operations: inbound, storage, picking, packing, outbound shipping.
• Coach and develop supervisors and frontline teams.
• Drive performance against order accuracy, on-time delivery, productivity, and cost.
• Maintain inventory accuracy via controls and cycle counting.
• Optimize labor planning, staffing, and workflow for efficiency.
• Champion safety culture; ensure OSHA and company standards compliance.
• Lead continuous improvement to boost productivity, quality, and cost.
• Partner with supply chain, transportation, and customer service teams.
• Manage operating budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities.

The Distribution Center Manager is responsible for end-to-end distribution center operations and driving operational excellence across receiving, inventory, and shipping while ensuring safety, quality, and service targets are consistently met. This is a high SKU (20K+) high-volume distribution center serving OEM customers with 75+ employees and 100,000 square feet of facility space in a manually driven distribution environment.

Compensation:

$110,000 - $125,000 base salary + 10% bonus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead all daily distribution center operations, including inbound, storage, picking, packing, and outbound shipping
• Manage, coach, and develop a workforce including supervisors and frontline teams
• Drive performance against key metrics such as order accuracy, on-time delivery, productivity, and cost
• Ensure high levels of inventory accuracy through effective controls and cycle counting programs
• Optimize labor planning, staffing, and workflow to meet demand and improve efficiency
• Champion a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all OSHA and company standards
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and cost performance
• Partner cross-functionally with supply chain, transportation, and customer service teams
• Manage operating budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities

Qualifications Seeking:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution (Experience will be considered in lieu)
• 7+ years of experience in distribution, warehouse, or manufacturing plant operations
• 7+ years of direct people leadership experience, leading large teams (50+ employees)
• Experience as Manager or lead of a Distribution Center/warehouse/manufacturing plant
• Lean/Six sigma certification (Green or Black Belt)
• ERP experience (SAP or Oracle preferred)
• Experience with inventory control and logistics operations
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities
