Job summary

SpartanNash in Bellefontaine, Ohio is seeking a seasoned Warehouse Supervisor to oversee day-to-day distribution center activities, including shipping, receiving, and inventory control.

You will lead a team of associates, coordinate cross-functional tasks, and ensure safety, accuracy, and cost-effective operations while maintaining excellent customer service and staffing plans. This role requires weekends/overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED.
• Three years Warehouse distribution experience preferred.
• One year Supervisory or lead experience required.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Good organization, prioritization, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Must be able to multi-task and have good follow through to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day warehouse activities in shipping, receiving, selection, loading and storage.
• Coordinate with cross-functional departments for DC operations and issue resolution.
• Schedule and assign work to warehouse staff to maintain productivity and safety.
• Maintain warehouse KPI reports and ensure health, safety, cleanliness and security.
• Ensure compliance with distribution procedures and regulations; promote safety and security.
• Oversee training of team leads and associates on processes and changes.
• Lead pre-shift meetings and communicate updates on procedures, safety and HR programs.
• Manage staffing, training, performance, and career development of associates.
• Assist with labor agreement administration as needed.
• Handle additional responsibilities as needed.
