Responsibilities
  • Implement Safety Procedure Changes as dictated by Supply Chain Leadership.
  • Ensure proper food handling by understanding SSC-managed procedures and training/retraining DC staff on these processes.
  • Proactively identify challenges and collaborate with stakeholders to find solutions.
  • Execute safety, sanitation, and security measures in accordance with RaceTrac and government guidelines, including safety walks, BBS observations, powered equipment inspections, daily vendor temperature logs, product segregation, OSHA documentation, and fire extinguisher compliance.
  • Work with the Transportation Manager to keep drivers current on safety and compliance documentation.
  • Maintain documentation for training and publication requirements in line with RaceTrac safety standards.
  • Lead pre-shift meetings covering daily safety topics and stretches.
  • Act as on-site point of contact for 3rd-party safety auditors.
  • Ensure temperature control systems (digital sensors) work correctly and investigate any variance.
  • Facilitate new-hire training and ensure all employee training records are signed off.
  • Partner with DC Management to schedule and execute preventive maintenance for equipment and services such as extermination and trash collection.
  • Ensure the Distribution Center complies with all security measures and monitoring protocols.
  • Provide strategic oversight to reduce costs through efficient distribution processes and warehouse management.
  • Oversee general warehouse support functions, including picking product for stores, auditing store orders, coding dated product, maintaining the facility, and executing ad-hoc requests.
  • Monitor workplace performance and lead initiatives to re-direct or re-train associates.
  • Assist with warehouse audits and inventory reporting for the Purchasing Department and Operations team.
  • Support daily inbound/outbound deliveries, handle vendor receiving logs, and report any issues to the Distribution Center Manager.
  • Verify product integrity by checking food temperatures and following FEFO/FIFO procedures.
  • Serve as contact for conflict management of associates for all escalated issues.
Qualifications
  • Preferred: a degree in Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or another business-related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Preferred: 3+ years of related experience.
  • Required: knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel and Access.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds; frequently reach up to 72 inches, bend, stand and reach while operating a pallet jack and/or forklift.
  • Ability to work rapidly at a constant pace for the entire shift in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including varying start/finish times, weekends, and holidays.
