Job summary

HD Supply is seeking a seasoned Distribution Center leader in Northlake, IL to run the DC in alignment with company goals. You will provide input to the DC Manager for planning, financial management, operational reporting, and process improvements.

The role emphasizes safety, inventory control, and staff development within a dynamic warehouse environment. Negotiating budgets, driving efficiency, and ensuring compliance across facilities and staff are key success factors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in a distribution center, including 3+ years in management.

Responsibilities

• Provides departmental input to DC Manager for operating plans for warehouse and transportation operations.
• Identifies departmental financial resources and participates in budget development.
• Implements process improvements and analyzes asset utilization within the department.
• Leads safety and HazMat compliance, ensuring security of staff, facility, equipment, and inventory.
• Manages performance of Assistant Manager and hourly staff, providing coaching and corrective action when warranted.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
