Menards is offering a Manager Trainee program at an Ohio distribution center. The role focuses on learning each department’s functions and how they interact to support DC success. The 3-month training leads to a path to Assistant Department Manager and eventually Department Manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or related field or equivalent management experience.
• Willingness to relocate to other sites for promotions.
• Articulate, clear and effective in writing and verbal communication.
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective working relationships.
• Strong analytical skills for action plan development and execution.
• Innovative leadership abilities; self-motivated and goal oriented.

Responsibilities

• Manage and lead team members in your area.
• Ensure product is received and shipped efficiently.
• Keep work areas clean, safe and well-maintained.
• Use resources and equipment efficiently to fill orders.
• Ensure safety policies are followed and training is up to date.
• Keep safety training and maintenance documented.
• Maintain open communication with Team Members about safety.
• Collaborate with supervisors and managers to reach goals.
• Propose ideas to improve current processes.
