Job summary

Amarr's Distribution Center in Memphis, TN seeks a hands-on General Manager to lead daily operations, drive profitability, and deliver exemplary customer service. You will oversee sales, expenses, people, and inventory, energize continuous improvement, and ensure safety and OSHA compliance while partnering with the warehouse team and external customers.

This full-time role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with benefits, tuition reimbursement, 401(k) with company contribution, and opportunities

Qualifications

• Prior warehouse management experience required (minimum 3 years preferred).
• Experience with budgets, P&L statements, and logistics.
• Experience with external customers in a flow-through warehouse.
• Verbal, written, and interpersonal sales skills.
• Strong supervisory, leadership and motivational abilities.
• College education or related experience.
• Valid driver's license and mechanical aptitude/power tools.

Responsibilities

• Account for daily execution of program processes.
• Monitor budgets and key performance metrics.
• Review operations costs and improve profitability.
• Staff, develop, supervise, and direct all personnel.
• Lead Continuous Improvement efforts at the location.
• Oversee shipments, handling, and inventory accuracy.
• Ensure OSHA compliance and safety programs.
• Achieve weekly inventory, scrap, and damage goals.
