Job summary

OmniCable, LLC is a major distributor of wire, cable, fiber, and related electrical products. The DC Supervisor will assist the DC Manager in overseeing receiving, storage, and distribution in a fast-paced warehouse operating in a 5S environment.

You will supervise DC associates, manage orders and shipping, coordinate with sales teams, handle shipping documentation, and support facilities, safety, and inventory. On-call for emergencies; potential to lead in the manager's absence.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years warehouse/inventory management experience.
• Able to work in a fast-paced production environment with high sense of urgency.
• Strong communication skills; able to direct sales and distribution staff.
• Able to communicate with multiple levels in the company.
• Prior use of RF technology / computerized WMS systems.
• Basic PC/computer proficiencies.
• Authorized to work in the US; minimum 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Process daily orders to ensure customer satisfaction; manage loading/unloading and forklift operation.
• Supervise daily function of DC associates; assist with training and ensure safety SOP adherence.
• Coordinate with local and national sales to meet order specs and timelines.
• Handle shipping documentation with truck drivers for pickup/delivery.
• Coordinate orders in DC; enforce priority codes for timely shipping.
• Support DC Manager with facilities management, safety, and inventory control.
• Lead team in absence of DC Manager; handle timeclock requests and facility maintenance.
• Fill in production area as volume dictates; open/close facility as needed.
• Be on call for emergencies orders as needed.
