Job Description

We are looking for a Distribution Center Lead to join our PLATT team in Salt Lake City, UT!

Summary

The Distribution Center Lead is responsible for helping supervise and perform other aspects of the department to facilitate workflow. In the absence of the Distribution Center Supervisor or Distribution Center Assistant Supervisor, the Lead will oversee aspects of the department and act as a team lead for a small group of employees focused on a limited task. This position’s schedule is from 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM Monday through Friday.

What You’ll Do

• Contribute to a culture and environment focused daily on employee safety, assuming responsibility for immediately addressing safety concerns
• Assist in leading, training, and coordinating work including delivery scheduling, inbound and outbound processes, safety requirements, and special customer requirements
• Oversee aspects of the department in the absence of the Distribution Center Supervisor or Assistant Supervisor
• Know all department functions and processes
• Ensure the efficient and safe operation of all material‑handling equipment, maintaining the security of the Distribution Center and accurate inventory
• Ensure inbound and/or outbound shipments and products are accurate and free of damage
• Ensure jobs are correctly implemented, assigned effectively, and completed properly
• Assist in maintenance and security of the Distribution Center
• Other duties as assigned

• 4+ years of distribution center or warehouse experience
• Certification to operate forklift, hand truck, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment (preferred)
• High School or GED (preferred)
