Job summary

Airgas is seeking an Expeditor in Duluth, GA to support the distribution center receiving department. The role involves reviewing orders, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring timely inbound/outbound shipments.

Preferred candidates have 3–5 years of related experience, strong organizational skills, and knowledge of SAP. The position offers competitive benefits and starts after 30 days of employment.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to read, speak, write, spell, and understand the English language.
• Detail oriented with ability to manage strict deadlines and multitask across sources.
• Able to read, understand, and communicate with internal departments.
• Manufacturing/Distribution experience desirable.
• Working knowledge of SAP.
• Proficient in MS Office and Google Suite software.

Responsibilities

• Review inbound purchase orders and receiving transactions for accuracy.
• Partner with vendors and intercompany branches to resolve questions and ensure smooth delivery flow.
• Collaborate with accounts payable teams to solve invoice inquiries and maintain vendor relationships.
• Partner with the receiving supervisor and team to manage administrative flow and support daily department success.
• Safely assist in unloading and staging incoming shipments to be received.
• Ensure detail accuracy while receiving and staging products for put-away.
• Put-Away and replenish products to ensure smooth fulfillment for picking.
• Coordinate, pick, and stage products for outbound shipment.
• Ensure detail accuracy and carefully pack products to be shipped.
• Wrap skids, stack boxes, and manifest shipments to deliver reliable service to customers.
• Support team goals through additional warehouse activities as needed.
