Job summary

TPS Group Holdings is seeking a Department Supervisor for our Leominster, MA distribution center. You will lead a team of leads and associates to ensure accuracy, productivity, and a safe, positive work environment while coaching and developing staff to meet targets.

You will train, onboard, and manage performance, coordinating with HR on escalations and maintaining clear communication. This is a focused role driving daily operations with accountability and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of leadership experience in distribution, warehouse, or similar environment.
  • Experience coaching and corrective action to improve performance.
  • Proven ability to lead teams in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and warehouse management systems (WMS preferred).
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a warehouse environment.

  • Lead and develop a team of leads and associates to drive performance, engagement, and accountability.
  • Coach, correct, and develop employee performance.
  • Train and onboard new associates, ensuring role clarity and safety.
  • Set clear expectations and hold staff to productivity, quality, and safety standards.
  • Address workplace conflicts with HR on escalated matters.
  • Oversee daily department operations including workflow planning and execution.
  • Delegate tasks to balance workload and meet goals.
  • Monitor metrics and drive continuous improvement.
  • Adjust labor and priorities in real time to meet business needs.
  • Follow company policies and safety standards.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment and enforce safety requirements.

Role Summary

The Department Supervisor is a salaried leadership role responsible for the overall performance, operations, and people management of an assigned distribution center function. This leader owns day-to-day execution, ensuring accuracy, productivity, and a safe, positive work environment while driving results through hands‑on coaching, clear communication, and operational discipline. The Supervisor is accountable for team performance, associate development, and maintaining consistent execution of operational priorities, while exercising independent judgment to manage workflow and people‑related matters.


What you’ll do

  • Address workplace conflict directly and professionally, partnering with HR on escalated or non-negotiable matters.

  • Own daily department operations including workflow planning, prioritization, and execution.

  • Delegate work effectively to balance workload, meet operational goals, and support team development.

  • Monitor and manage departmental performance metrics, taking proactive action to address gaps and drive improvement.

  • Adjust labor, workflow, and priorities in real time to meet changing business demands.

  • Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and operational standards.

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment and enforce all safety requirements.

  • Identify process improvement opportunities and support continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Serve as the primary communication bridge between associates and department leadership.

  • Facilitate daily huddles to reinforce priorities, expectations, safety, and performance goals.

  • Support building operations, including opening/closing, incident response, and asset protection responsibilities.

Job Requirements

  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and warehouse management systems (WMS preferred).

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand and walk for extended periods up to 6+ hours and operate in a warehouse environment.

  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, weekends, and extended hours as business needs require.

  • Work onsite at the Distribution Center, located in Leominster, MA
