Job summary

IEWC is seeking an entry-level DC Operator Level I in Phoenix, AZ. As an employee-owner, you will handle receiving, processing, and shipping materials while upholding our commitment to operational excellence and premier customer service.

You will learn cross-training across DC duties, follow ISO procedures, and contribute to a safe, productive workplace. High school diploma and 3+ months in manufacturing or distribution preferred.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding and follow written and oral instructions.
  • Ability to work in a Windows environment and with standard computer applications.

Responsibilities

  • Meet DC expectations for all functions outlined by manager/supervisor.
  • Seek opportunities for cross-training among DC duties.
  • Follow IEWC ISO procedures.
  • Make decisions within the context of guidance from supervisor or work instructions.
  • Maintain workspace to IEWC 5s standards.
  • Follow safety rules and procedures.
  • Assemble spools as requested.
  • Perform minor repairs to equipment and machinery as needed.
  • Adhere to IEWC attendance policy.
  • Communicate professionally in line with IEWC values.
  • Build teamwork with co-workers.

Overview

The DC Operator Level I is the entry level of employee working as part of the team who receive, handle, process, and ship all of IEWC’s customer materials while maintaining our reputation for operational excellence and premier customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Meets DC expectations for all job functions outlined by their manager/supervisor.
  • Seek opportunities for cross-training amongst the various jobs in the DC.
  • Follow IEWC’s ISO procedures.
  • Make decisions within the context outlined by his or her manager/supervisor or work instructions.
  • Maintain work area to the IEWC 5s standards.
  • Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations.
  • Assemble spools, as requested.
  • Perform minor repairs to equipment and machinery, as needed.
  • Follows IEWC’s attendance policy.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally in line with IEWC’s values.
  • Build relationships and teamwork with his or her co-workers.

Technical Skills
  • Education and/or Experience: High School graduate (or GED) and 3+ months of manufacturing or distribution related experience; or a combination of education and experience.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding and carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Computer Applications Skills: Ability to work in a Windows environment and with standard current computer applications.
