Job summary

Prisma Health in Simpsonville, SC is seeking a Distribution Center Associate to receive, put away, replenish, pick, pack, stage, and ship general, medical, and surgical supplies in the Materials Distribution Center.

Under general supervision, you will use technology platforms to stage orders, perform put-away, and assist with cycle counts while maintaining a clean, organized workspace and adhering to safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• No experience required; automated supply/distribution experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive Purchase Orders in the system and stage supplies for delivery.
• Performs put away of receipted products.
• Replenishes inventory in low unit of measure locations from bulk locations.
• Picks orders utilizing various technology platforms and packs them in appropriate containers.
• Stages orders in appropriate delivery zones and prepares them for shipping.
• Operates hand truck, carts, dollies, and order-picker to move items for shipment.
• Keeps shelves and work areas clean and organized; follows safety procedures.
• Assists with special projects and inventory discrepancies.

Job Summary

Under general supervision, receive, put away, replenish, pick, pack, stage, and ship general, medical, and surgical supplies in the Distribution Center. Performs receipt of Purchase Orders into the system and provides cross-docking services to the facilities.

Essential Functions

• Receives Purchase Orders in the system and stages supplies for delivery.
• Performs put away of receipted product.
• Replenishes inventory in low unit of measure locations from bulk locations.
• Picks orders utilizing various technology platforms and packs them in appropriate containers.
• Stages order in appropriate delivery zones and prepare them for shipping.
• Operates hand truck, carts, dollies, "man-up" order-picker, and walkie to transport stored items from warehouse locations for shipment.
• Keeps shelves, pallet areas, and workstations clean and organized; maintains a tidy shipping supply area; and follows all safety procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Assists with special projects.
• Reports inventory discrepancies and documents according to policy.
• Assists with cycle counts and physical inventories.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Supervisory/Management Responsibilities

• This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director or executive.

Minimum Requirements

• Education - High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience - No experience required. Automated supply/distribution experience preferred.
