Responsibilities

• Select, orient, train, coach, counsel and discipline Associates
• Educate and develop Associates to increase capabilities and performance while enforcing policies
• Ensure attendance at training/cross-training and maintain compliance with safety and training goals
• Schedule departmental trainers for new hire orientation and on-the-job training
• Communicate values, strategies, objectives, and assign accountabilities
• Maintain positive continuity with each Associate and their teams
• Foster cooperation within and between departments
• Create a climate of openness, trust and respect for Associates
• Plan, monitor, appraise and manage performance results
• Enforce policies and productivity standards and coordinate with HR and temp staffing on accountability
• Investigate equipment incidents and document reports; schedule management meetings and implement corrective actions
• Maintain accurate staff attendance, vacation, and time-off records
• Manage operations to meet financial targets and service levels
• Identify budget variances and corrective actions
• Evaluate and recommend process changes to improve efficiencies and safety
• Establish daily/weekly priorities and production plans
• Schedule Associates and manage shifts and workloads
• Analyze production performance records and data
• Resolve and report production issues
• Ensure a clean and safe work environment and compliance with safety rules
• Ensure proper tools and equipment are available and maintained
• Ensure Associates are trained and certified to operate equipment
• Evaluate new equipment and techniques for improvements
• Lead and participate in special projects
• Be open to new ideas to achieve results
• Continue development through company education workshops and leadership training
• Regular attendance is essential
• Additional duties as assigned by manager
