Job summary

AMD is seeking an experienced Virtual Platform Functional Modeling Engineer in Austin to drive a scalable pre-silicon modeling environment. You will integrate processors, memory, I/O, and system-level models across distributed simulations, collaborating across architecture, firmware, software, and validation teams.

You will help define framework, infrastructure, and methodologies powering virtual platform capabilities, with a strong focus on system-level modeling, performance, and platform

Qualifications

Functional modeling, virtual platform development, or pre-silicon modeling experience.
Experience with modeling APIs, validation-ready platform behavior, or related tooling.
Familiarity with CI/CD and validation methodologies.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with firmware, software, validation, and emulation teams to enhance virtual platform capabilities.
Define inter-node communication behavior within distributed simulation environments.
Design and improve simulation orchestration services and deterministic execution.
Develop model interfaces and platform assembly methodologies for scalable integration.
Create validation strategies, regression suites, and CI/CD automation for reliability.
