Job summary

Ll Oefentherapie is seeking a seasoned distributed systems engineer to design, implement, and optimize scalable components. You will drive load testing, ensure resiliency, and review peers’ work for scalability.

The role emphasizes fault-tolerant design, automation via IaC (Terraform), and incident response participation, with a strong focus on security and performance in a high-throughput environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years delivering and operating large-scale distributed systems.
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and OS fundamentals.
• Experience with AI adoption incl. prompt engineering; ChatGPT/Codex a plus.
• Solid networking knowledge: TCP/IP, HTTP, and architectures.
• Understanding of multi-tenant, virtualized infrastructure is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize components in distributed systems.
• Run load and performance tests to validate scalability and resiliency.
• Review peers’ implementations for scalability compliance.
• Build fault-tolerant paths with replication and failover.
• Develop IaC and automation for troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Participate in incident response, RCAs, and telemetry tooling.
