Distinguished Engineer

Locations: This role requires associates to be in-office 1-2 days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. This approach combines structured office engagement with the autonomy of virtual work, promoting a dynamic and adaptable workplace. Alternate locations may be considered if candidates reside within a commuting distance from an office.

The Distinguished Engineer is responsible for leading the design, development, and deployment of large-scale, production-grade artificial intelligence (AI) systems and platforms that enable enterprise-wide innovation and modernization. They are key influencers who work with senior leadership to solve complex, company-wide technical challenges while fostering a culture of innovation and mentorship.

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship while influencing enterprise technology decisions through deep expertise and hands‑on engineering.

Minimum Requirements

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and a minimum of 15 years of experience in software engineering, deep expertise in distributed systems and large-scale architecture, or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
• Experience delivering production-grade AI/ML systems at scale, building agentic systems or complex LLM-based applications, modernizing large, complex legacy systems, and delivering high-quality systems also required.
• Strong programming expertise in Python, Java, or similar required.
• Deep experience with APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures, cloud platforms, and CI/CD and DevOps practices required.

Preferred Skills, Experiences and Competencies

• Strong expertise in healthcare technology ecosystems, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), AI at Scale, full‑stack software engineering, and the design of secure, scalable, cloud‑native architectures.
• Hands‑on experience developing and deploying AI/ML solutions, including Generative AI (GenAI), Large Language Models (LLMs), and modern AI development frameworks and tooling.
• Deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure, identity and access management (IAM), encryption, network security, and cloud security best practices.
• Proven success driving DevSecOps adoption through automation, CI/CD optimization, infrastructure as code (IaC), and secure software delivery practices.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence cross‑functional teams and effectively partner with executive and senior leadership across a matrixed organization.

For candidates working in person or virtually in the below locations, the salary* range for this specific position is $243,012 to $364,518.
