Equinix in Redwood City is seeking a Distinguished Engineer to lead AI Infrastructure Products, shaping multi-year architecture and scalable platforms that let customers run AI inference near their data, clouds, and partners across Equinix's global footprint.

This hands-on role incubates new products from concept to production, defines APIs and service-oriented architectures, mentors senior engineers, and partners with Product, Security, and Operations to deliver reliable, high-performance

Qualificações

• Experience building and operating distributed systems at scale.
• Hands-on production experience with Kubernetes and cloud-native tools.
• Proficiency in Go; Python or other languages is a plus.
• Deep API design and microservices experience.

Responsabilidades

• Define multi-year technical vision and reference architecture for AI infrastructure.
• Mentor engineers and shape the technical talent bar.
• Design, build, and operate AI infrastructure products and APIs.
• Lead architecture reviews and documentation.
• Partner with Product, Security, Ops, and GTM teams.
• Ensure reliability, performance, and cost efficiency at scale.
