Our District Support Pharmacists (DSPs) play a critical role in cultivating a culture of excellence within each pharmacy by acting as role models, demonstrating genuine care, and setting the bar for the pharmacy team. As a DSP, you will support pharmacy teams by covering scheduling gaps, supporting pharmacy operations, and ensuring safe, effective patient care.

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1. Managing and improving patient health through safe dispensing, counseling, and immunizations.
2. Traveling within the district to fill pharmacist shifts and overseeing pharmacy operations as the Pharmacy Manager’s proxy.
3. Supporting safe prescription fulfillment by following pharmacy workflow procedures and safety protocols.
4. Assuming Pharmacy Manager’s duties when serving as the primary pharmacist-on-duty.
5. Contributing to positive patient experiences by showing empathy, coaching pharmacy staff, and resolving medication or insurance issues.
6. Supporting immunizations and encouraging pharmacy technicians to learn immunization practices.
7. Managing pharmacy inventory effectively, with a focus on cold chain products.
8. Remaining flexible to meet scheduling and business needs, fostering an inclusive team environment.
9. Maintaining and expanding clinical and technical skills through ongoing training and education.
10. Supporting access to care and patient outcomes through clinical services like testing and prescribing (where permitted).
11. Complying with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies to ensure patient safety and a safe workplace.
