Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal is seeking an Associate in Disputes and Investigations to support complex accounting matters, fraud investigations, and forensic analyses across diverse client engagements. You will help build models, draft reports, and communicate insights to clients and counsel in a collaborative, hybrid work environment.

Ideal candidates hold a degree in accounting/finance, with CPA/CFE/CFF preferred, and 1–4 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics required.
• CPA, CFE or CFF certifications preferred.
• 1-4 years of experience in accounting or forensic/disputes consulting.
• Proficient with Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Adept at using AI to assist in completing assignments.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective interpersonal skills and teamwork.
• Willingness to maintain a flexible work schedule and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with compiling, analyzing, and documenting information in investigations, disputes, or accounting matters.
• Contribute to updating complex financial models and analyses.
• Document analyses assumptions, methodologies, and sources.
• Assist with drafting reports and client deliverables.
• Perform quality control reviews of reports and deliverables.
• Research technical and industry-specific issues.
• Develop solutions to complex problems and balance multiple projects.
• Communicate findings clearly to the engagement team and clients.
