Job summary

Nordson Medical in Allen, Texas, is seeking an Intern in Disposables Engineering to support manufacturing processes, troubleshoot, document, and pursue continuous improvement under guidance.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Biomedical Engineering or related field.
• Previous internship, co-op, or project experience in regulated manufacturing or medical device environment is a plus.
• Strong organization, time management and communication abilities; open to learning Lean/Six Sigma concepts.

Responsibilities

• Assist in sustaining manufacturing processes through troubleshooting, documentation, and continuous improvement.
• Support validation/qualification protocols (IQ/OQ/PQ) for equipment, processes, and design changes.
• Collaborate with engineers to identify process improvements for safety, quality and throughput.
• Follow ECO documentation, test execution and implementation activities.
• Analyze production data, perform basic statistics, and summarize findings in reports.
• Learn and apply FDA QSR and ISO 13485 quality standards.
