Job summary

Omnicare, a leading provider of pharmacy services to long-term care facilities, seeks a licensed pharmacist in Virginia for a part-time role in Harrisonburg. The position supports evening, weekend, and holiday coverage and operates under HIPAA and DEA guidelines.

The role requires LTC pharmacy experience, IV certification or experience, and immunization certification or willingness to become certified. The schedule is 20 hours per week, with typical hours Mon-Fri and varied weekend coverage.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate entry of orders
• Maintain security of the pharmacy
• Adhere to required delivery schedules
• Verify orders entered by technician staff for accuracy
• Check for completeness and precision of all new and refill labels and orders
• Check for content and accuracy of all drug packaging and labeling
• Prepare and/or supervise sterile IV drug products or solutions, if required
• Assist in maintaining a perpetual inventory for schedule II drugs
• Knowledge of DEA and state law with regards to controlled drug dispensing
• Provide evening, weekend, and holiday coverage during scheduled rotation based on the needs of the business
• Follow all applicable state and government regulations including HIPAA
• Other duties as assigned (these vary by location)

Candidates should be aware that this role will not remain within CVS Health following the transaction. This pharmacist will be an integral member of the pharmacy team. Your success will be driven by your ability to lead and foster a culture of continuous improvement, quality, and service. The most successful pharmacists demonstrate excellent customer service skills, as well as the ability to prioritize the workflow.

Schedule & Hours

This is a part time position. The pharmacy hours are Monday-Friday 9am-9pm, Saturday and Sunday 9am-5pm. Schedule is based on the needs of the business.

Required Qualifications

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is: $45.43 - $76.15. This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
