CVS Health through its Omnicare LTC pharmacy is seeking a licensed pharmacist in Virginia to support dispensing, drug screening, and safe medication delivery for long-term care facilities. The role emphasizes accuracy, security, and patient service in a fast-paced environment.

The position is overnight, 7 on/7 off, 35.5 hours per week, with weekend and holiday coverage and full-time benefits. Schedule details include Sunday–Thursday nights and Friday–Saturday nights.

Qualifications

• Licensed pharmacist in the state of Virginia in good standing.
• Pharmacist with LTC pharmacy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Enter orders accurately and maintain system integrity.

Position Summary

This role is based in a closed-door Long Term Care facility (non-customer-facing)

Omnicare®, a CVS Health company, is a national leading provider of pharmacy services to the long‑term care market, which includes skilled nursing facilities and independent and assisted living communities, addressing the needs of an aging population across the continuum of senior care.

As a pharmacist, you will play a critical role in supporting our Omnicare patients, providers and business.

As a pharmacist for our Long Term Care Pharmacy you will work in an exciting, dynamic and fast paced environment, ensuring the continuation of pharmacy management's goals and objectives within the dispensing pharmacy. This pharmacist will provide routine and emergency comprehensive and accurate drug screening, information, processing, and dispensing services for various drug distribution systems to the centers. We are looking for someone who has a phenomenal work ethic to provide outstanding service and to ensure that the appropriate drug product reaches the customer both efficiently and safely.

You will

• Ensure accurate entry of orders
• Maintain security of the pharmacy
• Adhere to required delivery schedules
• Verify orders entered by technician staff for accuracy.
• Check for completeness and precision of all new and refill labels and orders.
• Check for content and accuracy of all drug packaging and labeling.
• Preparation and/or supervision of sterile IV drug products or solutions, if required.
• Assist in maintaining a perpetual inventory for schedule II drugs.
• Knowledge of DEA and state law with regards to controlled drug dispensing.
• Provide evening, weekend, and holiday coverage during scheduled rotation based on the needs of the business.
• Follow all applicable state and government regulations including HIPAA.
• Other duties as assigned (these vary by location).

This pharmacist will be an integral member of the pharmacy team. Your success will be driven by your ability to lead and foster a culture of continuous improvement, quality, and service. The most successful pharmacists demonstrate excellent customer service skills, as well as the ability to prioritize the workflow. The contributions you will make as a Pharmacist in this role will position CVS Health as a leader within the LTC marketplace.

This is a full‑time, benefit eligible position.

This is an overnight, 7on 7off, full‑time position working 35.5 hours. Schedule will be Sunday‑Thursday 7:30pm‑6am / Friday and Saturday 7:30pm‑6:30am. There is no on-call requirement.

Required Qualifications

Must be a licensed pharmacist in the state of Virginia, must be active & in good standing.

Preferred Qualifications

• Long Term Care pharmacy experience
• IV Certification or experience
• Immunization certification or willingness to become immunization certified

Education

Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy or Doctorate of Pharmacy

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is: $50.48 – $84.62 per hour.
