Job summary

The Pittsburgh Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC), part of Acadia Healthcare, is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) for our Outpatient MAT OTP program. This full-time Dispensing Nurse role focuses on medication dispensing, patient assessment, and safety in a morning-shift setting (4:30 AM–12:30 PM) with rotating holidays and weekends.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (LPN/LVN).
• Prefer 1 year of nursing experience in behavioral health or outpatient treatment.
• MAT-related dispensing experience preferred.
• Ability to operate, monitor, and maintain medical equipment safely and effectively.
• Skilled in drawing blood and specimen collection for testing.
• Proficient in EMR systems and related clinical software.
• Competent in patient assessment, vitals, and overall condition.
• Ability to document MARs accurately and timely.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements (DEA, HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2) for controlled substances.
• Strong teamwork with multidisciplinary staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate dispensing of medications in an OTP setting.
• Assess patients, administer medications, monitor vital signs.
• Document medication administration and nursing care in patient records.
• Maintain accurate inventory and safekeeping of medications per regulatory agencies.
• Dedicate ~90% of time to medication administration; other duties as assigned.
• Conduct urine/blood tests, intake assessments, and monitor patient outcomes.
• Complete documentation for procedures accurately and in compliance.
• May transport medication to other locations or work on mobile unit.
