Job summary

Lynn Comprehensive Treatment Center, part of Acadia Healthcare, is seeking a per diem LPN/LVN to staff an outpatient MAT OTP setting in Lynn, MA. The Dispensing Nurse will administer medications, monitor vitals, educate patients, and support the clinical team.

The role emphasizes medication administration with a heavy focus on accurate documentation and inventory control, involving urine/blood testing and charting in EMR systems.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse or Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) with current license.
• 1 year of nursing experience in behavioral health, outpatient treatment, or addiction recovery is preferred.
• Experience treating patients in outpatient treatment programs is a plus.
• Ability to operate, monitor, and maintain medical equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Work under the supervision of Nursing Supervisor, Medical Director, and Clinic Director.
• Prepare and administer medications as ordered by Medical Director or Physician.
• Document medication administration and nursing care in patient records.
• Maintain inventory and safekeeping of all medication stock and records per regulatory rules.
• Keep accurate accounting of medications received and dispensed.
• Dedicate approximately 90% of work hours to medication administration activities.
• Conduct urine and/or blood samples, read results, and assist in monitoring patient outcomes.
• Complete all documentation accurately and in compliance with standards.
• May transport medications or work on a Mobile Unit as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
