Job summary

The Flowery NY is seeking a front-line associate to ensure smooth store operations in a cannabis dispensary environment. You will prioritize excellent customer interactions and help customers create and pay for orders at the POS.

Responsibilities include opening/closing procedures, maintaining customer confidentiality, guiding traffic flow, and staying current with brand policies. Prior experience in retail or cannabis is preferred, with opportunities for promotional involvement.

• Stay up-to-date with company brands, products, policies.
• Assist in occasional deliveries and storefront activations.
• Provide marketing support as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by Manager.

Job description

• Perform store opening and closing procedures (such as cleaning, tablet placement/removal, and prepping workstations)
• Create an environment prioritizing customer and providing excellent customer interactions
• Check in, verify and/or create new customer profiles upon entry to the dispensary
• Maintain the highest level of confidentiality with customer information and interactions (on and off the clock)
• Controlling the pace of customer traffic within the dispensary
• Educate and assist customers in creating orders by providing suggestions in regard to available products based on physician recommendations and specific customerneeds
• Informing customers of any current promotions or highlighted products
• Create customer orders and accept payment at POS using provided operating system
• Keep up to date with company brands, products, policies and procedures
• Budtenders may be asked to assist in occasional deliveries (scheduled and discussed ahead of time)
• Provide marketing support as needed, including but not limited to distributing flyers, assisting with storefront activations, and participating in brand collaboration events.
