Ascend Wellness Holdings (AWH) is hiring a Part-Time Dispensary Pharmacist for our Whitehall, PA location.
Job Summary:
The Dispensary Pharmacist is a registered Pharmacist responsible for providing an excellent patient experience while achieving revenue goals, assisting the General Manager in staff development, and ensuring compliance with inventory, security, and system protocols. This role is sales-oriented and requires enthusiasm for the benefits of medical cannabis. Part-Time employees work between 15-29 hours per week.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Become proficient with the point-of-sale system.
- Maintain all confidential information according to HIPAA policies and procedures.
- Conduct consultations via phone, in-person, and other approved methods, ensuring patients receive accurate and compassionate information.
- Mentor, motivate, and train managers and staff on compliance and products.
- Continuously learn about our products and the evolving research on medical cannabis.
- Promote a culture of positivity, professionalism, and compliance with policies and regulations.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures and execute company programs related to customer service, compliance, and security.
- Guide patients and collaborate with staff on cannabis recommendations, including product selection, effects, potency, dosing, and methods of administration.
- Manage employee and customer concerns diplomatically, reporting issues to the General Manager.
- Work with the General Manager to drive sales and ensure the dispensary remains the preferred choice among patients.
Job Requirements:
- Successful completion of a BS Pharm or PharmD from an accredited university.
- Active medical/pharmacy license and registration as a medical professional.
- Knowledge and experience with cannabis.
- Willingness to pass a comprehensive background check.
- Strong team management and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a demanding environment.
- High compliance and regulation awareness.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and ability to navigate multiple software platforms.
- Flexibility to work 3-5 days per week, including evenings, weekends, and shifts involving opening and closing.
- Willingness to assist outside of assigned region as needed.
- Ability to educate the community on medical cannabis benefits and develop effective sales strategies.
