Job summary

Altius is seeking a hands-on Dispensary Manager to lead a regulated cannabis retail location in Illinois. You will own day-to-day store operations, coach staff, ensure compliance, manage inventory, and drive profitability while delivering exceptional customer experiences.

The role requires strong leadership, strict adherence to state/local regulations, and a focus on training, audits, and community engagement to meet KPIs and P&L targets.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a cannabis retail store in a regulated environment.
• Strong leadership and onboarding experience.
• Knowledge of inventory controls and compliance.
• Ability to drive sales and KPIs.

Responsibilities

• Lead hiring, onboarding, training, scheduling and performance management for the store team.
• Ensure full compliance with state and local cannabis regulations and company policies; maintain audit-ready records.
• Manage inventory, product receiving, cycle counts and seed-to-sale reconciliation to protect assets.
• Oversee cash handling, daily reconciliations and loss-prevention practices.
• Drive sales, customer experience, merchandising and local community engagement to meet and exceed KPIs and P&L targets.
• Partner with corporate teams on promotions, new product launches and operational improvements.
• Maintain a safe, clean and welcoming retail environment that reflects Altius’ high standards.
