Responsibilities

• Support the accurate preparation, calculation, and dispensing of medications as directed by LIVS veterinarians.
• Maintain accurate medication dispensing records.
• Monitor medication and supply inventory and report discrepancies.
• Support inventory control and regulatory compliance for controlled substances.
• Receive, organize, and stock medications and hospital supplies.
• Manage medication and supply inventory within the Cubex system.
• Assist hospital team with obtaining medications and supplies.
• Maintain an organized, efficient dispensary in a fast-paced environment.
• Prioritize requests and responsibilities to support patient care.

Long Island Veterinary Specialists (LIVS) is seeking a Dispensary Associate to join our team in Plainview, NY. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced animal hospital while supporting the accurate preparation and dispensing of medications and supplies.

• Assist hospital team members with obtaining medications and other necessary supplies
• Help maintain an organized, accurate, and efficient dispensary
• Prioritize requests and responsibilities in a fast-paced animal hospital environment
• Support efficient patient care services throughout the hospital through attention to detail and reliable medication and supply management
