Job summary

Sunmat Materials & Equipment in Boise, ID is seeking a Dispatcher to coordinate daily dispatch of ready-mix concrete trucks, batch plant operators, and loaders to ensure timely deliveries. You will serve as the communication hub between customers, drivers, and field personnel, and maintain accurate activity logs.

Requires a high school diploma or GED and 1–2 years in dispatch/logistics, with familiarity with Command Alkon / COMMANDseries preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily dispatch of drivers, batch operators, and loaders based on scheduled pours and customer orders.
• Communicate start times and job assignments to all field personnel in a timely manner.
• Monitor and track driver hours to ensure balanced utilization and compliance with company policy.
• Serve as the primary point of contact between customers, drivers, and plant operations.
• Maintain and update the daily schedule in the dispatch system (COMMANDseries / Command Alkon).
• Coordinate rental truck needs and communicate with rental companies as required.
• Track load counts, yardage, and delivery status throughout the workday.
• Communicate any schedule changes, delays, or issues to the appropriate team members promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of daily dispatching activities, driver logs, and pour schedules.
• Assist in the coordination of after-hours deliveries and emergency dispatch as needed.
• Work closely with the Dispatch Manager to optimize scheduling and resource allocation.
• Support the onboarding and training of new drivers regarding start time procedures and communication protocols.
