Job summary

J.P. Carrara & Sons, Inc. is seeking a customer service–oriented Central Dispatcher to coordinate deliveries and support daily dispatch operations in Middlebury, Vermont.

You will be the primary contact for customers, taking accurate orders and providing responsive service, while directing drivers to keep deliveries safe and on schedule. Key duties include scheduling orders for ready-mix concrete and related products, coordinating trucks and crews, and tracking driver hours to ensure compliance

Qualifications

• Strong customer service, communication, and computer skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond calmly to changes.
• Dispatch or related industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive and schedule customer orders for ready-mix concrete, aggregates, concrete pumps, and related products.
• Coordinate trucks, drivers, and delivery schedules, including tractor-trailers and precast loads.
• Work with plant personnel, job sites, and erection crews to resolve scheduling issues.
• Track driver hours, code timecards, and support driver compliance with company policies and FMCSA requirements.

• Work with plant personnel, job sites, and erection crews to resolve scheduling issues.
• Track driver hours, code timecards, and support driver compliance with company policies and Federal Motor Carrier requirements.
