Job summary

WM is seeking a Dispatcher in the Nashville area to provide timely responses to customer inquiries, schedule pickups, and coordinate daily routes. This role reports under immediate direction and supports drivers and customer service teams to ensure efficient operations.

Expected duties include updating SAP data, handling SFDC requests, and maintaining safety and compliance in daily activities. The position offers Monday–Friday shifts starting at 7:30 am with a $23.00 hourly wage.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years experience in Transportation, Logistics, Routing and Customer Service.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced office environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist Customer Service with customer requests (SFDC cases), route changes and rescheduling for pickups/missed stops.
• Provide highest level of customer service in line with Customer 1st objectives.
• Monitor, process, and escalate issues as needed.
• Assist walk-in customers.
• Assist drivers with problems/issues as they arise.
• Review driver’s paperwork and files.
• Review and update routes and new customers daily.
• Ensure routes are balanced daily.
• Assist Trans Supervisor/Manager as needed.
• Update SAP data / notes.
• Communicate performance standards and objectives.
• Keep staff informed of problems and changes through meetings.
• Maintain a safe and compliant workplace.
• Supervise in manager's absence and propose improvements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Monday- Friday | 7:30 am Start Time | $ 23.00 an Hour

Under immediate direction, the Dispatcher provides timely response of customer inquiries up to and including pick-ups, schedules, product orders, etc., and all other aspects of a customer's needs. Dispatches vehicles on a pre-set route for each driver daily in the interest of efficient customer service.

• Review and updates routes, new customers based on daily communication, reroutes existing customers as required

• Assists Trans Supervisor/Manager as needed/directed
• Update SAP data / notes
• Communicate performance standards and objectives
• Keeps staff informed of current problems, changes, and new developments in the department and company by conducting professional, organized, and participative meetings
• Always maintains a safe and compliant workplace
• In the absence of a manager/supervisor, monitor and ensure that employees are performing their functions safely and productively. Make recommendations for changes or improvement, when necessary, in order to prevent accident or injuries
• Perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned

Qualifications
