Primary Duties

Manage the daily delivery and pickup of machines to and from customers using the company-owned delivery fleet and other vendors as needed. Oversee the operation of the delivery team and ensure proper maintenance and specifications of the fleet.

Responsibilities

• Schedule machine deliveries, pickups, and inter-company transfers, ensuring accurate paperwork.
• Communicate with drivers to ensure on-time deliveries and customer satisfaction.
• Optimize load and route efficiency.
• Maintain communication between rental branches, customers, sales, and service teams.
• Ensure fleet safety through scheduled maintenance and inspections.
• Maintain driver logs, rental contracts, and condition reports.
• Coordinate safety training and evaluate inventory needs.
• Manage substituted and re-rented units.
• Assist with inside sales when volume is high.
• Supervise drivers and yard staff, including hiring and performance evaluations.
• Serve as a mentor to branch staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or technical training.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of machinery and market products.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and database systems.
• Familiarity with local geography is a plus.
