TouchPoint Support Services in Birmingham, AL is hiring immediately for part-time Dispatcher positions. Online applications are accepted only.

This role coordinates and monitors Patient Transportation services through timely dispatch and management of requests; prior dispatcher and customer service experience preferred. Responsibilities

• Provides quality customer service to customers by providing one-on-one attention to detail.
• Implements basic patient transport concepts, infection control and body mechanics.
• Determines and develops dispatcher logic and transporter activities; transports patients when necessary.
• Directs transport function tasks and monitors availability; follows up on service/operations issues.
• Ensures requests are addressed timely per departmental standards and patient appointments.
• Serves as a liaison between Patient Transportation and other departments.
• Assigns, collects and distributes pagers; monitors daily sign-in/out procedures.
• Develops positive customer relationships with patients, families, visitors and staff; ensures dispatch accuracy and staff productivity.
• Resolves problems related to patient, visitor, staff or employee complaints; recommends solutions.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provides quality customer service to customers by providing one-on-one attention to detail.
• Understands and applies knowledge of basic patient transport concepts, infection control practices and proper body mechanics.

• Resolves problems related to patient, visitor, staff or employee complaints. Recommends solutions for ongoing or recurring issues.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
