Qualifications

• 2+ years of dispatching experience in transportation or related industries.
• Experience coordinating local, regional, or industrial trucking operations.
• Strong computer and data-entry skills.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and dispatch drivers for daily transportation assignments.
• Communicate with drivers, customers, vendors, and internal departments.
• Optimize routes and load assignments to improve efficiency.
• Track completed jobs and update dispatch software and records.
• Prepare daily schedules, load reports, and operational summaries.
• Resolve transportation issues and customer concerns professionally.
• Coordinate equipment repairs and maintenance; provide roadside assistance.
• Ensure DOT regulations, policies, and safety standards compliance.
• Weigh inbound and outbound trucks and maintain records.
• Verify material compliance and manage yard traffic.
• Process paperwork, invoices, tickets, and dispatch documentation.
• Assist management with reports and special projects.
