Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Experience in transportation dispatching preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills and proficiency in transportation management software.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
  • Forklift experience or willingness to gain experience.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate driver routing, scheduling, and on‑time deliveries with production teams.
  • Maintain open communication with customers and provide delivery tenders as required.
  • Track driver progress and key operational details electronically.
  • Support driver training and ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company policies.
  • Assist with coordinating regular truck maintenance with shop personnel.
  • Monitor Hours of Service to ensure safety and efficiency.
  • Oversee freight loading/unloading to uphold safety standards and SOPs.
  • Help optimize shipping lanes to support production flow.

We are looking for you!

  • Schedule: Sunday- Thursday 6:00 pm - 4:00 am (overtime, on call one weekend a month)

The dispatcher partners closely with our production team to ensure a balanced, collaborative business partnership. Support driver scheduling, coordinate routes, destinations, and timelines for transporting freight to its intended destination.

  • Support driver learning and growth around DOT compliance, regulations, and company processes.
  • Maintain open communication with customers regarding delivery updates and assist with providing tenders.
  • Track driver progress and essential operational details electronically.
  • Foster ongoing driver support and engagement to ensure daily operational success.
  • Assist with coordinating regular truck maintenance alongside shop personnel.
  • Monitor Hours of Service to support safety and well-being.
  • Actively engage in oversight of freight loading and unloading to ensure safety standards and SOPs are met.
  • Help ensure shipping lanes flow smoothly to support production and floor space needs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications And Competencies
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Proven experience in transportation dispatching or a related field is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, including proficiency in transportation management software and other related programs.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong problem - solving tasks and decision‑making abilities.
  • Forklift experience or willingness to gain experience is a must have.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
