Job summary

AIT Worldwide Logistics in Secaucus, NJ is hiring a Dispatcher I to ensure smooth operation of our dispatch services. You will monitor vehicle movements, track pickups and deliveries, and assist with appointment scheduling.

You will actively monitor shipments, resolve issues, and keep accurate records of communications and milestones. The role provides essential administrative support to the dispatch team. Strong communication with clients, agents and drivers is required.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in Home Delivery, Final Mile, or Logistics.
• 1+ years in Customer service, Call Center, or Retail.
• Familiarity with dispatch operations and shipment tracking.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily orders and communicate delays in real time to teams and clients; assist with scheduling and issue resolution.
• Dispatch and track vehicle schedules to locations based on needs.
• Serve as liaison between clients and agents; provide timely status updates.

Overview

Dispatcher I will ensure the smooth operation of logistics dispatch services. This role is responsible for tracking and monitoring vehicle movements related to product pick-ups and deliveries, maintaining timely communication, and assisting with appointment scheduling. The Dispatcher I actively monitors shipments, addresses issues as they arise, and keeps accurate records of all activities, communications, and milestones. This role provides essential administrative support to the dispatch operation, ensuring daily tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily order progress and communicate delays in real time to AIT’s teams and clients, while assisting with scheduling appointments and resolving issues through ticket reassignment or escalation.
• Dispatch and track schedules of vehicles to appropriate locations according to AIT’s needs.
• Act as a liaison between clients and agents, providing timely status updates and ensuring smooth coordination.
• Handle inbound calls and respond to internal chat and email inquiries related to shipments and services, ensuring timely issue resolution and effective communication.
• Conduct daily roll calls for same-day and next-day confirmations to ensure delivery readiness.
• Proactively contact customers to schedule, confirm, or reschedule delivery and service appointments, and follow up as needed to ensure successful coordination.
• Ensure all same-day shipments are accurately marked as completed in the system and promptly communicate any order changes or updates to clients, agents, and drivers.
• Audit the system to ensure photo capture is completed upon order completion and assess the quality of submitted photos.
• Document and maintain records of customer requests, services performed, and other dispatch-related information.
• Performs other duties as assigned

• The wage range for this position is $22.70-$32.00 and may vary based on geography as well as relative knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience.

Qualifications

Education

• High School Diploma or GED or GED (Required)
• Some College/Associate's Degree or Higher (Preferred)

Experience

• 1+ years Home Delivery, Final Mile or Logistics Industry experience (Required)
• 1+ years Customer service, Call Center or Retail Experience (Preferred)
