Job summary

M&M Recycling in Locust Grove, GA is seeking an experienced Dispatch assistant to coordinate our fleet of roll-off trucks and tractor trailers. This fast-paced role requires excellent communication, strong routing abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple drivers and loads throughout the day.

The successful candidate will monitor truck loads, track location and hours, and collaborate with drivers, yard staff, customers, and scale personnel to keep schedules tight.

Qualifications

• Experience in scrap metal or heavy trucking preferred.
• Knowledge of roll-off trucks and tractor trailers is highly desirable.
• Strong routing, logistics, and multitasking abilities.
• Proficient with GPS tracking and dispatch software.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate 10–15 trucks daily and ensure timely loads.
• Optimize routes to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
• Track every truck by load, location, and hour throughout the day.
• Communicate with drivers, yard managers, customers, and scale personnel.
• Monitor driver productivity and ensure loads are completed on schedule.
• Maintain dispatch records, load documents, and delivery status.
• Respond quickly to changing priorities, equipment issues, and customer requests.
• Collaborate with operations and yard to improve fleet utilization and service.

Dispatcher – Scrap Metal Recycling & Transportation.

Location: [Locust Grove Ga].

M&M Recycling is seeking an experienced, organized, and motivated Dispatch assistant to coordinate our fleet of roll-off trucks and tractor trailers. This is a fast-paced position that requires excellent communication skills, strong routing abilities, and the ability to manage multiple drivers and loads throughout the day.

CDL A required for this position -but not a deal breaker for the right person.

Responsibilities

• Help dispatcher to coordinate 10–15 trucks daily.
• Optimize routes to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
• Track every truck by load, location, and hour throughout the workday.
• Communicate continuously with drivers, yard managers, customers, and scale personnel.
• Monitor driver productivity and ensure loads are completed on schedule.
• Maintain accurate dispatch records, load documentation, and delivery status.
• Help dispatcher respond quickly to changing priorities, equipment issues, and customer requests.
• Work closely with operations and yard to improve fleet utilization and customer service.

Qualifications

• Previous dispatching experience in the scrap metal, waste, construction, aggregate, or heavy trucking industry preferred.
• Knowledge of roll-off trucks, tractor trailers, containers, and scrap metal operations is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of truck routing, logistics, and scheduling.
• Ability to manage multiple drivers and priorities simultaneously.
• Experience using GPS tracking, dispatch software, and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Experience

• Experience tracking production by the hour and by load.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and driver hours of service.
• Experience working in recycling, scrap metal, or industrial transportation.
• Cdl A - but not a deal breaker.
• Must be able to road test drivers ,hold driver meetings and do driver training.
