Job summary

Carter Lumber is seeking a Dispatcher in Stockbridge, GA to coordinate deliveries with stores and customers, assign drivers, and ensure on-time service. You will work with the lumberyard team to build loads correctly and communicate delivery schedule changes while ensuring equipment safety per DOT rules.

You will also maintain drivers’ logs and use the dispatch system to improve efficiency. This role suits someone who can multitask, stay organized, and thrive in an active, people-focused

Responsibilities

• Coordinate deliveries with other stores and customers; assign drivers and ensure on-time deliveries.

Description

As a Dispatcher, you will coordinate deliveries with other stores as well as customers. This includes giving drivers their assignments and ensuring that all deliveries are made on time. This also includes working closely with the lumberyard team to ensure loads are built correctly. Any changes in the delivery schedule will be communicated by you. Ensuring delivery equipment is safe and maintained according to DOT regulations and ensuring drivers’ logs are completed and maintained according to DOT regulations will be part of your role. To improve delivery efficiency, you will utilize our delivery dispatch management system.

Requirements
