Job summary

WeDriveU, Inc. is seeking a Dispatcher to handle a high-volume of incoming calls, coordinate with drivers, and respond to email inquiries. The role involves problem solving throughout the day in a fast-paced environment in Springfield, VA.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year in dispatch or related fields, strong organizational skills, and proficiency with MS Office. CDL and bilingual skills are a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of professional experience in dispatch, call center, customer service or hospitality.
• Extremely detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Experience using multiple software programs with several open tabs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in a professional, energetic manner.
• Experience with a Transportation Management System (TMS) preferred but not required.
• CDL preferred but not required.
• Bilingual abilities preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor drivers throughout routes and communicate instructions to drivers in the field.
• Respond to customer inquiries via calls and email and resolve issues.
• Investigate and resolve customer concerns and record incidents as needed.
• Monitor traffic flow and issue alerts as required.
• Support Lost and Found processes and vendor follow-up.
• Ensure compliance with policies, safety rules and regulations.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Job Description:

The Dispatcher will be answering a high-volume of incoming calls, communicating to drivers, and responding to email inquiries as well as problem solving throughout the day.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Monitor drivers throughout their routes
• Communicate specific instructions to drivers in the field regarding passenger pick-ups and drop-offs
• Assist with investigating and resolving customer concerns
• Monitor traffic flow and send out alerts as needed
• Record incidents for vendor follow-up
• Support Lost and Found process
• Ensure that all tasks comply with administrative policies and procedures, safety rules, environmental policies and/or government regulations
• Additional duties and responsibilities may apply

Skills Required and Physical Demands:

• 1+ years of professional experience working in one or more of the following capacities: dispatch, call center, customer service or hospitality
• Extremely detail-oriented and exceptional organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
• Experience using multiple software programs simultaneously with various open tabs
• Excellent written and oral communication with interpersonal skills
• Exude a professional and energetic demeanor while performing effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Experience using a Transportation Management System (TMS) preferred but not required
• CDL preferred but not required
• Bilingual preferred but not required
