Job summary

Maersk Logistics & Services USA, Inc. seeks a full-time on-site dispatcher to assign owner operator trailer drivers for freight conveyance. You will compile driver lists, assign trucks, issue paperwork, and communicate with drivers daily while coordinating with customers to resolve delays or issues.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, strong communication, and Spanish fluency. Typical shifts and competitive pay accompany a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; or 1–3 months related experience or training; or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Compiles and maintains list of available drivers.
• Assigns trucks according to availability, purpose of trip, and freight.
• Issues record sheets, and all related paperwork to drivers.
• Trouble shooting and notifying appropriate parties of any changes.
• Records time of departure, destination, cargo, and expected time of return.
• Investigates overdue vehicles.
• Directs activities of drivers by two-way radio.
• Confers with customers to expedite or locate missing, misrouted, delayed, or damaged merchandise.
• Heavy communication with drivers on a daily basis.
• Spanish fluency required
• Position is full time and on-site.

Summary:

Assigns work for Company and owner operator trailer drivers for conveyance of freight by performing the following duties.

SHIFT: Tuesday- Saturday 11:00am-8:00pm

Pay Range

$27.00 - 30.00/hr

• The above stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location. The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
