Job summary

Independent Oh Logistics Llc is seeking a Dispatcher to schedule and dispatch drivers and equipment to and from accounts with a mix of drop/ hook and live loads. Daily use of Excel for planning and accountability is involved.

Responsibilities include preparing daily dispatch schedules, maintaining load documentation, and monitoring driver hours to prevent DOT violations, while ensuring timely responses to driver inquiries and updates to dispatch orders.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; minimum of one year related experience.
• Ability to work in fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

• Seek out and schedule backhauls where appropriate; provide inbound report receiving.
• Update inbound and outbound orders in dispatch program.
• Respond to driver inquiries regarding breakdowns, directions, product count discrepancies.
• Monitor drivers’ hours to prevent DOT violations.
• Adjust delivery and backhaul assignments to accommodate breakdowns, late trucks and other changes.
• Follow attendance policy; show up for work on time and ready to work assigned shift.
• Perform other duties as required and assigned.

Under general supervision, the Dispatcher schedules and dispatches drivers and equipment to and from our accounts 90% drop and hook 10% Live loads. Duties may include using radio, telephone, or computer to transmit assignments. Daily usage of excel for planning and accountability

Essential Functions:

• Prepares daily dispatch schedule for drivers and equipment.
• Prepares documentation for all loads as necessary.
• Seek out and schedule backhauls where appropriate; provide inbound report receiving.

• Responds promptly to driver inquiries regarding, but not limited to, breakdowns, directions, product count discrepancies.
• Monitors drivers’ hours to prevent DOT violations.

• Performs other duties as required and assigned.

Qualifications: Qualifications & Experience:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred, a minimum of one year of related work experience.

• Requires the ability to sit for long periods of time, with frequent interruptions
