Job summary

Central Transport is seeking a results-driven, technically proficient professional to join our Kansas City operations. You will relay information between drivers, vendors, and terminal managers, and review routes to optimize efficiency while monitoring live freight.

The role emphasizes safety, KPI achievement, and a customer-centric service mindset. Ideal candidates bring leadership qualities, strong communication, and a comfort with technology.

Qualifications

• Experience in a transportation, cross docking, or shipping and receiving environment (preferably within the LTL industry).
• Strong leadership qualities and ability to surround customers with excellence in service.
• High aptitude for technology and capability to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Associates/Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Relay critical information between drivers and vendors/Terminal Managers.
• Review and revise driver routes to increase efficiencies amid changing workloads.
• Monitor freight in transit and assist drivers with road-related issues.
• Ensure KPI goals are met and safety standards (DOT/OSHA) are followed.
• Support a culture of quality in product/service for internal and external customers.

Central Transport LLC is one of the nation’s most reliable and technologically advanced LTL (Less-than-Truckload) carriers to date. Salary ranges from:

• $60,000-$80,000 with up to 10% in additional bonuses

Ideal Candidate Requirements:

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Relaying critical information between drivers and our vendors/Terminal Managers
• Review and revise driver routes to increase efficiencies while monitoring a changing workload
• Being aware of freight that is in transit
• Assist and report issues that drivers face when they’re on the road (i.e. flat tire)
• Ensure facility Key Performance Indicator (KPI) goals are met and/or exceeded
• Maintain a safe work environment compliant with state and federal DOT/OSHA standards
• Provide / support a culture of excellence in quality of product to internal and external customers
