Job summary

Responsibilities

• Receives orders and schedules ready-mix deliveries.
• Directs batch plant operators, loader operator and ready-mix drivers in support of customer requirements.
• Uses information from Sales Department for maximum results.
• Processes and posts required information on delivery tickets for accurate invoice billing.
• Coordinates and controls delivery of customer orders.
• Notifies customers in advance when schedules cannot be met and adjusts as needed.
• Quotes COD prices and balances COD transactions.
• Processes delivery tickets via computer to ensure accurate invoicing.
• Manages checks and credit card transactions to balance daily totals.
• Supports credit controls placed by Credit Manager.
• Communicates with Supervisor to ensure timely delivery.
• Instructs drivers on unfamiliar routes and keeps customers updated.
• Resolves customer complaints tactfully and diplomatically.
• Posts driver schedules and documents incidents when issues occur.

• Pay or shift range: $28 USD to $35 USD. The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Promotes Company’s Purpose, Mission and Vision statements.
• Receives orders and schedules ready-mix deliveries.
• Directs batch plant operators, loader operator and ready-mix drivers in support of ready-mix customer requirements.
• Uses all information passed from the Sales Department for maximum results.
• Processes and posts required information on delivery tickets to ensure accurate invoice billing.
• Coordinates and controls delivery of customer orders.
• Constantly evaluates current day’s schedule to: Notify customers in advance when the schedule cannot be met; Ensure that additional equipment can be scheduled when available; Make schedule adjustments when rate of delivery changes occur, additional cement is ordered, or there is equipment breaks down; Minimize non-productive time.
• Must be able to “Do What It Takes” to service the customer at all times.
• Accepts orders from customers via telephone and quotes C.O.D. prices. All other prices are to be referred to the Marketing and Sales Department. Balance all COD transactions.
• Processes and posts required information on delivery tickets via computer terminal to ensure accurate invoice billing with computerized accounting system.
• Processes all checks and credit card transactions accurately to balance daily totals.
• Administers credit controls placed by Credit Manager.
• Must support, promote and dress with professionalism and safety in mind.
• Communicates with Supervisor via radio or telephone if timely delivery of product cannot be met.
• Instructs drivers on any unfamiliar delivery routes.
• Communicates with ready-mix drivers to ensure efficient delivery.
• Works with customers to resolve complaints and problems tactfully and diplomatically.
• Timely posts driver schedules.
• Reports and files incident report when complaint or problem occurs.
