Job summary

Menzies Aviation is seeking a Dispatcher in the United States to coordinate flight activity and disseminate information to pilots, ground handlers, passengers, and customers. You will establish rapport with flight crews, manage flight logs, schedules and communications to ensure operations run smoothly.

The role requires at least 1 year of dispatcher experience, a valid US driver’s license, and the ability to lift 70 lbs and work in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Must have 1+ year of experience as a dispatcher.
• Must possess a valid US driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
• Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs and work in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Distribute incoming flight information to pilots and ground handlers.
• Follow up with updated information as received.
• Communicate flight release and fuel load information to operations.
• Maintain lines of communication with line operations and air carriers via two-way radios.
• Coordinate with billing for services rendered and compile information for each flight for final billing.
• Maintain flight logs and update schedules.
• Arrange accommodations when flights are delayed.

Role Purpose

The Dispatcher will be responsible for coordinating and disseminating information concerning flight activity. This individual will also establish and maintain rapport with flight crews, pilots, passengers, ground handlers and customers.

What you will be doing:

• Distribute incoming air traffic information to pilots/ground handlers
• Follow up with updated information as received
• Communicate flight release and fuel load information to appropriate operations
• Maintain lines of communication with line operations and air carriers though the use of two-way radios
• Coordinate with departments in billing for services rendered and compile information for each flight and submit for final bill preparation
• Maintain flight logs and update flight schedules
• Make arrangements for accommodation when flight delays occur
