Job summary

SEKO Logistics in Dallas seeks an Operations Coordinator to support U.S. domestic shipments, coordinate drivers, and ensure DOT compliance and accurate documentation.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, at least three years in logistics, a valid driver’s license, forklift and DOT certifications, plus strong communication and data-entry skills.

This is a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment that values reliability, teamwork, and a customer-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain excellent customer service for internal and external customers.
• Dispatch drivers for U.S. domestic shipment pickups and deliveries.
• Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and internal policies.
• Prioritize time-sensitive cargo.
• Notify drivers of pickup and delivery assignments.
• Maintain shipment information in the customs control document.
• Submit required paperwork to Import personnel in a timely manner.
• Assist with loading/unloading freight and verify labeling.
• Contribute to a safe and healthy workplace.
• Adhere to safety procedures and cooperate with management on compliance.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE:

• Develop and maintain excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
• Dispatch drivers for U.S. domestic shipment pick-ups and deliveries.
• Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and established internal policies and guidelines.
• Prioritize time sensitive cargo.
• Notify drivers of pick-up and delivery assignments.
• Maintain shipment information under the Customs control document.
• Ensure required paperwork is submitted timely to Import personnel.
• Read and assimilate stored data and enter new data in computer database.
• Assist with shrink-wrapping, loading and downloading freight, verifying the labeling of domestic shipments, and noting the count and condition of cargo received.
• Participate in the development of a safe and healthy workplace.
• Comply with instructions given for their own safety and health and that of others, in adhering to safe work procedures.
• Co-operate with management in its fulfilment of its legislative obligations.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to read, comprehend, and complete basic checklists, forms or other related documents.
• Good vision and depth perception required.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
• PC literate.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web-based and job specific software applications.
• Accurate typing skills and/or data entry skills.
• Capable of communicating and interacting effectively with multi-functional and diverse backgrounds and effectively presenting information in one on one or in small group situations.
• Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
• Ability to balance team and individual responsibilities.
• Responds promptly and professionally to customer needs.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum: High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum three years related experience.
• Valid state issued Class C Driver's License.
• Forklift Certification.
• DOT Dangerous Goods/Hazardous Materials Certification.
• Knowledge of local geographic market.
• Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to drive and/or operate heaving machinery or equipment.
• Ability to operate a forklift.
• Preferred: Minimum two years industry experience.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation.

Please note that base salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, performance in the role and potential for revenue generation (Producer roles only).

Compensation The base salary compensation range being offer for this role is $18 - $25 USD per hour. This role is also eligible for an annual incentive bonus.
