Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Dispatcher to organize daily equipment dispatch for the branch in a safe, timely manner. You will work with drivers and customers to ensure on-time deliveries and pickups, while maintaining high safety standards.

The role involves coordinating schedules, taking orders, and supporting the inside sales team. A high school diploma, valid license, and DOT knowledge are required, with a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Technical knowledge of DOT/Federal Motor Carrier rules and regulations.
• Diligent attention to safety.
• Strong ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Schedule drivers and organize dispatch of all equipment for the branch.
• Assist in taking customer telephone orders for deliveries, pickups and service.
• Arrange for all emergency field repairs.
• Answer customer calls and review driver schedules to fulfill requests.
• Assist Inside sales team as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
